Bolivia is one of the most interesting countries to practice mountaineering. The advanteges of the Bolivian climbing are the stability of the climate, the great variety of routes from the most classical to the steeper technical ascents, the easy access, and the unknowns of a country where there are still multitude of places and mountains to be explored.
We offer climbs on the more popular mountains on either their regular routes or the more technical ones. At the same time we give you the opportunity to discover mountains and places hardly known and explored andean summits.
Classical ascents: We will climb normal routes either as acclimatization or as the main objective. The most well-known peaks in Bolivia shine for their amazing beauty and high altitude (around the 6000m/ 20.000ft). Huayna Potosí, Illimani, Illampu, Ancohuma, Condoriri,Pequeño alpmayo, sajama. the volcano of Sajama (the highest peak in bolivia-6542m/21,807ft) are some of the most popular mountains in Bolivia. There are also a great number of spectacular mountains that go unnoticed for most climbers. They are not as frecuented as the other ones because of the location and the hard acces. In the Cordillera Real we could name the Illampu-Ancohuma group, North Peak, Schulze Peak, Yanko Huyo, Jankho Lahya, Chachacomani, Chearoco, Tiquimani, etc, as some of these remote and fantastic mountains. There are also the Quimsa Cruz Range and the Apolobamba, although being as high as the Cordillera Real, there are less visited that the others mountains ranges. It’s incredible to see how mountains of such beauty have been ignored for so long. Ask for our tilor made trips
Technical ascents: Routes of this characteristics will be planned according to the climber’s fitness and technical abitily. Also the conditions of the peak at the time of the ascent are very important. To realize this type of activity it is absolutely imperative to be very well acclimatized.
